Hastelloy C-276 alloy tube has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The higher molybdenum and chromium content of Hastelloy C-276 alloy tube makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and the tungsten element further improves the corrosion resistance. At the same time, Hastelloy C-276 is one of the only materials that can resist corrosion from moist chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions, and has significant corrosion resistance to high-concentration chloride solutions such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride. In addition, Hastelloy C-276 alloy tube reduces the content of carbon and silicon, which can control the outflow of carbides in the heat-affected part, thereby better improving its corrosion resistance.
Other properties
Hastelloy C-276 alloy tube has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress cracking corrosion, is clean, has high finish and good welding performance.
