Alloy Overview
Inconel 600 (also known as N06600, Inconel Alloy 600) is an early developed nickel-chromium-iron based solid solution strengthened alloy. Its main chemical components include nickel, chromium and iron, of which the nickel content is as high as 72% or more, providing the alloy with excellent high temperature resistance; the chromium content is between 14% and 17%, which improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy; iron can improve the mechanical properties of the alloy. In addition, the alloy also contains a small amount of carbon, manganese, silicon, copper, phosphorus, sulfur and other elements, which play a role in refining grains, improving strength and toughness.

Physical properties
1. Corrosion resistance: It has good resistance to a variety of corrosive media, including oxidizing acids (such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.), chlorides, and has excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments and alkaline solutions.
2. Antioxidation: It can be used for a long time at temperatures up to 1180°C. It is not easy to oxidize or lose strength at extremely high temperatures. It can form a dense oxide film to prevent further oxidation corrosion.
Heat strength and plasticity: It has satisfactory heat strength and high plasticity below 700°C, and has good mechanical properties under low and high temperature conditions, including strength, toughness and ductility. At room temperature of 20°C, the yield strength is 240MPa, the tensile strength is 550MPa, and the elongation at break reaches 40%; at high temperatures up to 700°C, the yield strength can still be maintained at around 140MPa.
Processing performance
1. Hot and cold processing: It has excellent hot and cold processing performance, can be strengthened by cold processing, and has good forming performance
2. Welding performance: It can be connected by resistance welding, fusion welding or brazing. Common welding methods include manual arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), metal inert gas welding (MIG), etc.
Specification characteristics
1. Diameter and wall thickness: It can produce a variety of specifications, including large diameter and wall thickness pipes. The specific diameter range may include OD6 - 630mm (seamless pipe) or larger, and the wall thickness can reach WT0.3 - 100mm (seamless pipe) or customized according to specific needs.
2. Structural strength: Steel pipes with large diameters and thick walls have higher structural strength and can withstand greater internal pressure and external loads. They are suitable for occasions requiring high load-bearing capacity.
Surface treatment
Pickling surface treatment is usually performed to remove scale, rust and other impurities on the surface of the steel pipe, make the surface of the steel pipe smoother and flatter, and improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the surface. The surface of the steel pipe after pickling will present an acid white surface, which is not only beautiful, but also conducive to subsequent processing and use. The pickling process usually includes the preparation of pickling solution, immersion, rinsing and drying of steel pipes. During the pickling process, the concentration, temperature and immersion time of the pickling solution need to be strictly controlled to ensure the quality of the pickling effect.
