OVERVIEW

Incoloy 800H is an alloy material with excellent performance in high temperature environment, containing about 22% chromium, 39% iron and 33% nickel, 

and the rest is carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements.

Through strict control of chemical composition, Incoloy 800H alloy has good high temperature strength, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.

The maximum operating temperature of Incoloy 800H can reach 1100℃, and it also has good toughness and ductility at room temperature. 

Incoloy 800H also has excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, and can still maintain a long service life in high temperature environment. 

Incoloy 800H sheet has good processing performance and can be used for hot working and cold working. During hot working, 

the heating temperature and cooling rate should be controlled to avoid cracks and deformation. During cold working, cutting, drilling, turning, etc. can be carried out.

Mechanical properties

1. Room temperature mechanical properties: At room temperature, the minimum tensile strength of nickel-based alloy 800H after solution treatment is 450MPa, the yield strength σp0.2 is 180MPa, the elongation σ5 is 30%, and the Brinell hardness HBS is 135-1791.

2. High temperature mechanical properties: In high temperature environment, the mechanical properties of nickel-based alloy 800H are also excellent, able to withstand high stress and temperature, and have good creep resistance and lasting strength.

Manufacturing process

The manufacturing process of nickel-based alloy 800H mainly includes the following links:

1. Melting: Strictly control the quality of raw materials and parameters such as melting temperature and time to ensure the uniform chemical composition and stable performance of the alloy.

2. Forging and rolling: Improve the structure and properties of the alloy, and improve its strength and toughness.

3. Heat treatment: Including solution treatment and aging treatment, etc., heat treatment can further improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy.

Application fields

1. Chemical industry

It can be used to manufacture equipment such as nitric acid condensers, sulfuric acid coolers, phosphoric acid evaporators, and various chemical pipelines and valves, etc., and can resist corrosion from a variety of strong acids, strong alkalis and salt solutions.

2. Petroleum industry

During the process of oil extraction, refining and storage, it can be used to manufacture oil well pipes, oil pipelines, oil refining equipment, etc., and can withstand the influence of high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environment.

3. Power industry

In nuclear power plants, it is used to manufacture internal components of nuclear reactors, such as steam generators, heat exchangers, etc., to withstand the test of high temperature and radiation environment; in thermal power plants, it is used to manufacture high-temperature components such as superheaters and reheaters of boilers to improve the efficiency and reliability of boilers.

4. Other fields

It can also be used to manufacture industrial furnace components, heat treatment equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, hydrocarbon cracking units, etc., and has certain applications in aerospace, automobile, electronics, papermaking and other fields.

At present, the research on nickel-based alloy 800H at home and abroad is mainly focused on high-temperature performance research. In-depth research is conducted on the mechanical properties, oxidation resistance, creep resistance, etc. of the alloy under high-temperature environment, and new alloy materials with higher performance are developed to meet the increasingly demanding high-temperature application needs.
