1. Performance characteristics

(1) Corrosion resistance

Monel K-500 steel plate has good corrosion resistance, which is equivalent to Monel400 alloy. It can be used in a variety of corrosive environments. It is especially suitable for manufacturing centrifugal pump shafts resistant to seawater corrosion. It has a low corrosion rate in flowing seawater.

(2) Mechanical properties

The steel plate has high mechanical strength and hardness. After a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed metal compounds on the matrix (the structure is a single-phase austenite structure and is precipitated by dispersed Ni3 (Al, Ti) precipitates). Its tensile strength is σb70-90MPa, the yield strength is σb482-621MPa, and the elongation δ≥25%.

2. Other properties

(1) High temperature oxidation resistance and high strength: It can resist fire and maintain stable performance under certain high temperature environment.

(2) Good processing performance: It is easy to perform plastic processing at room temperature and does not require surface treatment. It is simple, clean, has high finish, and has good welding performance.

3. Application fields

(1) Aviation field: used to manufacture turbine blades and gas turbine blades for aircraft engines with an operating temperature below 750°C.

(2) Shipbuilding field: used to manufacture fasteners, springs, etc. for ships.

(3) Chemical industry field: used for pump and valve parts on chemical equipment.

(4) Papermaking field: used as scraper blades on papermaking equipment
