OVERVIEW

Nickel Alloy 200 steel plate, also known as N02200 steel plate, is a pure nickel alloy plate. It is mainly composed of nickel elements, and the nickel content is usually not less than 99%. 

It has excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature stability and good mechanical properties.

This alloy is an industrial pure nickel that can be deformed and processed. It has ferromagnetism and high plasticity in a wide temperature range. 

It has a strength similar to that of medium carbon steel in the annealed state. It can be corroded in a neutral to moderate reducing environment. 

At the same time, since a passivated oxide film can be formed on the surface of the alloy, it can also be used in an oxidizing environment.

Performance characteristics

1. Corrosion resistance: It can show excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments, especially in environments containing chloride ions, caustic alkali and ammonia. It can corrode slowly in the atmosphere and show excellent corrosion resistance in media such as seawater and hydrochloric acid. It has excellent corrosion resistance in high-temperature anhydrous hydrofluoric acid.

2. High temperature performance: It can maintain strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures

3. Physical properties: It has high thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low steam pressure


Production process

The aging treatment method of stainless steel bars can reflect the production process related to Nickel Alloy 200 to a certain extent, mainly including the following steps:

1. Smelting steel castings: The heating furnace EAFLFVOD electroslag remelting (ESR) smelting method is used to produce steel castings to ensure the internal purity and uniform composition of the steel ingot. The specification model of electroslag steel castings is ф610mm.

2. Cold rolling of steel castings: After the electroslag steel castings are heated and burned through, 850 hot continuous rolling cold rolling billets are used; after the billets are heated and heated, hot continuous rolling is used to roll the finished products.

3. Heat treatment: The finished bar material undergoes incomplete pre-quenching heat treatment and quenching heat treatment process.

4. Straightening and peeling: The bar material is bent and deformed due to heat treatment. After quenching, it needs to be straightened to ensure the parallelism of the bar material; the bar material is peeled after the heat treatment process. After peeling, the size of the bar material meets the requirements of the contract.

Nickel Alloy 200 steel plate is widely used in many industrial fields:

1. Chemical industry: commonly used to manufacture equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers and separation towers, and can withstand the erosion of various corrosive media. It can also be used for corrosive product production and storage equipment, vinyl chloride monomer production equipment, etc.

2. Aerospace industry: used to manufacture parts that work in high temperature and corrosive gas environments, such as turbine blades and combustion chamber liners.

3. Energy industry: used to manufacture corrosion-resistant key components in nuclear power plants and fuel processing equipment

Food and pharmaceutical industries: can be used for food processing equipment, etc.

4. Other fields: can also be used for heat exchangers, pipelines, expansion joints, aircraft equipment, exhaust pipes, furnace components, components and equipment that cannot be heated after assembly, etc.


Difference from Nickel 201

The difference between pure nickel 201 and pure nickel 200 (N6) is that the former has a high carbon content of 0.02% and the latter has a high carbon content of 0.15%4. Compared with nickel alloy 200, nickel alloy 201 has a lower carbon content.
