Main characteristics
1. Corrosion resistance: Excellent corrosion resistance to reducing environments (such as hydrochloric acid, medium concentration sulfuric acid) and organic acids (acetic acid, phosphoric acid).
2. Microstructure control: By reducing the iron and chromium content, the precipitation of β-phase Ni₄Mo is prevented to avoid processing brittleness.
3. Welding performance: Low carbon and silicon content reduces the precipitation of impurity phases in the welding heat affected zone, and the weld still maintains corrosion resistance
Processing and heat treatment process
1. Key points of hot processing
Heating requirements: The workpiece needs to be directly added to the heated furnace body to avoid contact with low melting point metals such as sulfur and phosphorus, and the furnace gas needs to maintain slight reduction.
Subsequent processing: Annealing must be performed after hot processing to restore corrosion resistance.
2. Cold processing and heat treatment
Cold processing conditions: It needs to be carried out in the solution annealing state, the work hardening rate is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, and intermediate annealing is required when the deformation exceeds 15%.
Solution treatment: temperature 1060～1080℃, water quenching or rapid air cooling is recommended for materials with thickness＞1.5mm.
