Model meaning and core indicators

50W350: "50" represents a thickness of 0.5mm, "W" is a non-oriented silicon steel logo, and "350" means that the iron loss value is ≤3.5W/kg (under 50Hz, 1.7T conditions).

50W600: Thickness 0.5mm, iron loss value ≤6.0W/kg, magnetic induction intensity is close to 50W350, but the loss is slightly higher and the cost is relatively low


Classification by silicon content and process

1. Low silicon steel: silicon content below 2.8%, high mechanical strength, suitable for motor core (such as 50W350).

2. High silicon steel: Silicon content 2.8%-4.8%, better magnetic properties but increased brittleness, mostly used in transformers (such as 50W600).

3. Cold rolling process: Through cold rolling orientation treatment, the material magnetic permeability is improved and the iron loss is reduced, which is better than traditional hot-rolled silicon steel

Power equipment:

50W350: high-voltage transformers, new energy vehicle drive motors, high magnetic induction and low loss scenarios are required.

50W600: industrial transformers, welding machine cores, cost-effective scenarios.


Material selection recommendations

High-frequency/high-efficiency equipment: 50W350 is preferred to reduce energy consumption and improve equipment efficiency.

Cost-sensitive scenarios: 50W600 can be used as an economic alternative for medium and large equipment with low iron loss requirements.
