Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Fully Processed is an electrical material that directly forms ideal magnetic properties through rolling mill processing. It is mainly used for magnetic devices with commercial power frequency (50Hz and 60Hz), such as motors, transformers and other core components. Its core advantage is that users can use it directly without additional heat treatment, and the core loss and magnetic permeability characteristics have been optimized in the production process

Chemical composition

1. Basic ingredients: low-carbon silicon iron or silicon aluminum iron alloy, with a typical silicon content of about 3.5% and a small amount of aluminum. The silicon content range in different patented formulas can be extended to 2.0-4.5%, and zirconium (Zr: 0.03-0.3%) may be added to form Fe-Si-Zr ternary precipitates to improve strength without significantly affecting electromagnetic properties.

2. Impurity control: strictly limit carbon (≤0.01%), nitrogen (≤0.01%), sulfur (≤0.01%) and other elements, and the content of titanium (Ti≤0.002%) and phosphorus (P≤0.015%) in some formulas must also be extremely low.


Key performance indicators

1. Core loss: produced according to the maximum core loss value specified in the standard, for example, the iron loss (P15/50) of a patented steel grade under 15T/50Hz conditions can be as low as 3.8W/kg or less.

2. Magnetic induction intensity: the magnetic induction intensity of some high-performance steel grades can reach more than 1.64T.

3. Mechanical strength: through precipitation hardening (such as the addition of Zr) or particle strengthening, the material strength can be improved while maintaining electromagnetic properties.


Production process characteristics

1. Fully processed delivery: finished products are supplied in the form of cold-rolled plates or strips, and users do not need subsequent heat treatment.

2. Inclusion control: By controlling the ratio of Al/Si≤0.006, Mn/Si≤0.2, SiO₂-Al₂O₃-MnO composite inclusions (SiO₂ accounts for 95-98%) are formed to optimize magnetic properties.


Standard and unit system

1. Implementation standard: Typical examples include ASTM A677-05 "Standard Specification for Fully Treated Non-oriented Electrical Steel", which clarifies material performance and application requirements.

2. Unit marking: Standard values are expressed in cgs-emu (electromagnetic unit system) and inch-pound units. SI units in brackets are only reference conversion values.
