Performance and technical characteristics of Docol PHS 1500M
1. Mechanical properties: Referring to the performance parameters of Docol PHS 1500+AS, its yield strength is about 110-1500MPa, tensile strength is about 270-2000MPa, elongation is 5-60%, and it has high strength and a certain plasticity balance.
2. Forming process: As a hot-formed steel, it needs to be stamped and quenched at a high temperature of about 900℃, which can realize complex shape design (such as deep-drawn parts), and the springback after forming is extremely small, and the shape accuracy is high.
3. Coating type: hot-dip pure zinc (Z) or zinc-iron alloy (ZF) coating may be used. The iron content in the zinc-iron alloy coating is usually 7-15%, which improves corrosion resistance.

4. Safety structural components: Traditional applications include A-pillars, B-pillars, roof side beams, door anti-collision beams, etc., which improve the body's anti-collision ability through high-strength characteristics.
5. Battery protection parts: In electric vehicles, they can be used in floor beams, door sill plate connections and other parts to prevent battery packs from invading during collisions, especially for side collision protection

1. Soft zone process: The strength differentiation of different areas of the parts is achieved through segmented quenching. For example, a low-strength soft zone is designed at the bottom of the B-pillar to absorb collision energy and improve safety performance.
2. Material substitution and weight reduction: PHS 2000 and other higher strength steels can replace traditional PHS 1500 for internal combustion engine vehicles, and reduce component weight by reducing material thickness (such as 17% weight reduction for bumpers).
3. Cold forming technology expansion: The new cold stamping technology enables 1500MPa martensitic steel to form non-uniform cross-section parts, promotes the conversion of some hot-formed steel application scenarios to cold forming, and reduces production costs
