Material Overview
Basic properties: 1.4529 (N08926) is a super austenitic stainless steel, a nickel-based alloy containing titanium and aluminum, with excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. Its Cr content is 14.0-18.0%, Ni content is 24.0-26.0%, and it contains elements such as molybdenum and nitrogen. Its mechanical properties are better than traditional stainless steels such as 304 and 904L.

Corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance:
Outstanding resistance to pitting/crevice corrosion in halide and H₂S acidic media, and can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion; high temperature resistance is better than 304 stainless steel, and the operating temperature can reach 1038℃ (1900°F), and the oxidation resistance is comparable to higher grade alloys

Processing and heat treatment specifications
1. Hot processing
Temperature range: 1200-900℃, water quenching or rapid air cooling is required
Heating requirements: The workpiece needs to be clean and avoid contact with impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus. It is recommended to heat in a vacuum furnace or gas protection furnace
Solution treatment: After hot processing, it needs to be solution treated at 1150-1200℃ (optimal 1170℃) to improve performance
2. Cold processing
The work hardening rate is high, and high-power equipment is required; secondary solution treatment is required when the cold processing amount is greater than 15%
3. Precautions: Avoid fluctuations in oxidizing and reducing furnace gases, and the heating flame must not directly contact the workpiece
