OVERVIEW

Basic material overview

Titanium Grade 2 (also known as TA2) is a high-purity industrial titanium alloy, the main component of which is pure titanium, and belongs to the α-type titanium alloy. Its chemical composition is stable, and the impurity content is strictly controlled. The typical chemical composition is: titanium (Ti) balance, iron (Fe) ≤ 0.30%, oxygen (O) ≤ 0.20%, carbon (C) ≤ 0.08%, nitrogen (N) ≤ 0.05%, hydrogen (H) ≤ 0.015%. This material is often present in the form of plates, bars, pipes, wires, etc. in industry, among which bars can be produced by cold drawing, hot rolling, forging and other processes

1. Physical and mechanical properties

(1) Lightweight characteristics: The density of Titanium Grade 2 alloy material is only 4.51g/cm³, which is significantly lower than that of steel (about 7.8g/cm³), and is suitable for scenarios with high requirements for weight reduction.

(2) Mechanical properties: Titanium Grade 2 alloy material has a tensile strength of 340-490MPa and an elongation of ≥30%. It has both strength and ductility and can withstand complex molding processing

2. Functional characteristics
